Update on School Bus Masking

On Friday, February 25, 2022, the CDC announced it has waived the requirement of wearing face masks on school buses operated by public school systems.

[IMPORTANT] Update on Masking Procedures

Prior to the Governor’s executive order, the D142 Board of Education (BOE) and Administration team with FREA input created a return to learning plan in the summer of 2021 that included a recommendation to have students and staff wear masks in our learning environments, but not require masking.

February Community Update

On February 4, 2022, a Sangamon County Circuit Court Judge ruled against the enforcement of Governor Pritzker’s mask mandate.
