Qualifications to be a School Board Member:
l U.S. Citizen
l A Resident of the State of Illinois and District 142 for one year preceding the election
l At least 18 years of age
l Not a school Trustee
Prospective school board candidates must file nominating petitions with the Cook County Clerk’s Office, by November 23, 2026. Please contact the Cook County Clerk’s Office at (312) 603-1127 to obtain nomination forms and other candidate information.
