Throughout the summer, our Reopening School Plan has evolved as new information became available. We thank our parents, staff, and students for their patience as we sifted and sorted through the information available to ensure we offered safe learning opportunities to students that will also enable them to thrive.

Our 5-Phase Plan for Schooling will be starting in Phase Two and important information will be sent soon from our individual school buildings as to their specific daily procedures. We are eyeing Labor Day for a possible Phase change, but additional details will be forthcoming and is reliant upon the most up to date COVID-19 information available.

5 Phases

Each year our District picks a theme, something that will help draw together our interests and offers our entire school community a common goal. This year our theme is “Chasing Extraordinary!”  The choices, actions, and attitudes that accompany extraordinary work look a little different if we truly want to be something special. This will drive our work, motivating our team to provide something much more than an ordinary education, our goal is to provide an extraordinary education for every learner.

We have many additional resources for parents that we would like to share. Please follow the links below to access helpful, important information as we prepare for the upcoming school year. You will find tips for talking to your children about a variety of topics, easing the transition back to school.

The District 142 Health Services Team has a few health reminders on how to prepare for the opening of school, you can view them here.

For a sneak peek at self-certifying, each morning the District will require all In-Person Learners and all faculty/staff to answer the following questions:

Self-Certify Question

As always, thank you for trusting us with your children, thank you for partnering with us to offer them an exemplary education, and thank you for chasing extraordinary with us. Here’s to an amazing year!
