Updated COVID-19 Information and Quarantine Guidelines

On January 11, 2022 the Illinois State Board of Education (ISBE) formally confirmed and aligned with the updated PreK-12 Illinois Department of Public Health (IDPH) and Centers for Disease Control (CDC) COVID-19 guidance.

We have attached an infographic summary of this new guidance. However, the highlights are as follows:
  • Quarantine time for students who test positive for COVID-19 has been reduced to five (5*) days.
  • Close Contact Protocols: Unvaccinated students or students who have not received the full series of COVID-19 vaccinations are now required to quarantine for five (5*) days after a confirmed Close Contact.
  • Face masks are still required at school, school events, and while riding school buses.
*See the attached infographic to calculate the 5-day isolation period.

Our commitment to student and staff health remains strong. We understand that COVID-19 has placed stress on our students, families, and staff members. Our School Nurses, Principals, and District Administrators are at the ready to answer questions and hear concerns you may have moving forward.
