Dear Community,
Forest Ridge Elementary School District 142 Superintendent Dr. Margaret Longo will be retiring at the conclusion of the 2013 school year after serving 8 years in our district. The Board of Education is beginning the process of hiring our next Superintendent. The Board would like this process to be transparent and inclusive. We will be conducting a national search to ensure that we are able to hire a Superintendent who will continue our successful initiatives and programs and will support our continuous improvement efforts. Our student achievement has improved significantly, and it is our goal to ensure that our public schools remain strong and reflective of this wonderful community. Our school district will be conducting a survey to get a sense of qualities community members would like to see in the district’s next top administrator. We will be soliciting feedback through a focus group model in August and early September to gain staff and community feedback in order to develop a profile of the next Superintendent who is reflective of all stakeholders. We will be using the survey results to guide the Board of Education. Additionally, we will be seeking school /community participation. Our goal is to name a new Superintendent by December, 2012 with the candidate beginning work on July 1st, 2013. We look forward to working with you during this process. If you have any questions, please contact me jschr02s@gmail.com. Sincerely, Judy Schramm Board President Forest Ridge Elementary School District 142 Link to survey
