USDA Free Meals for Kids

Forest Ridge School District 142 is offering meal services to District Families, free of charge, for all who wish to participate.   Each child in your household is eligible to receive up to 5 days of meals per week (breakfast and/or lunch) for days school is scheduled to be in session.

The U.S. Department of Agriculture (USDA) is working with school districts to continue providing meals to students free of charge.  Due to the public health emergency and the need for social distancing, USDA was able to make temporary changes so that meals may be taken home, and parents or guardians may pick meals for their children.

The USDA has approved these free meals through June 2021, whether you qualify for free or reduced meals at school or not. These meals are available to every child under the age of 18 that lives in the household.

Each Wednesday morning, families will receive an email with a form to fill out a request for meals for each of your children in the household under the age of 18. You must fill out a request each week.

Please fill out a SEPARATE FORM FOR EACH CHILD for whom you are requesting a meal.

The students can either take the meals home with them for multiple siblings on Tuesdays and Thursdays for January through June, or parents/guardians can opt to pick up the meals for their children on those days.  Jack Hille Middle School (5800 W. 151st Street, Oak Forest, IL) is the central pick up location. Pick up location is Door #2 on the west side of Jack Hille, right past the first stop sign.  Please ring the doorbell at Door #2 and Sodexo staff will assist you.

If interested, please fill out the survey below no later than Wednesdays by 9:00pm to select your meals for the week.
