Student Activities

Drama Club

Drama provides our students with the skills of performing in front of an audience, rehearsing and memorizing lines, creating scenery and working as a team. Students create their own costumes and develop the personality of the character they will portray. This club fosters a comprehensive learning experience from development to fruition on opening night. 
Miss. Stanfield and Miss Shepard are the faculty sponsors of our Drama Club. 

Chorus

The chorus performs a wide variety of choral music and holds a Winter and Spring Concert which is open to the public.  The Chorus members also get a chance to perform at other schools in the district and at various community events throughout the year.  All fourth and fifth grade students are invited to join!  Miss Amy Stanfield is the elementary choir director.

Band

Kerkstra offers many extra curricular activities, which supports the schools mission. Intramurals run year round and Doc Leppert's weekly reading club is always packed! The Chess Club and The Scrabble Club meet weekly and challenge our students analytically.
