Parent Resources

 The Foundation of "FOSTER PRIDE"

At Foster,  a platform of six school-wide rules is utilized so that all students and staff understand acceptable actions and to coordinate our character education efforts. These six rules are:

Be On Time

Be Ready To Work

Be Kind To All

Be Honest

Be Fair

Be Respectful To People and Property

So that we remember that these rules are important to our every day success, we recite the following pledge each morning:

My Foster Promise

Today and everyday I will try my best. I will be on time, be ready to work, be kind to all, be honest and fair, and be respectful to people and property. This is my Foster Promise.

Parents, please make sure you familiarize yourself with the  district wide Parent/Student handbook. This document includes a variety of information that is important to know and understand.  If you have any questions regarding the handbook, please contact Mr. Beringer.

Lee R. Foster School Improvement Plan 2008 -2010

All of our district schools work toward continued improvement year after year.  the Lee R. Foster School Improvment plan is based on analyzing student performance data, trend data and curriculum and instruction.  After we complete our work with the data we identify strengths in our work and areas of improvement.  These areas of improvement are outlined and a plan is put in place to improve our practices so that student progress and achievement continues its upward climb.

Help us out!

We are always looking for Campbell's Soup labels and Boxtops for Education. If you have either Campbell's Soup lables or Boxtops for Education, send them to school.  Containers for labels and boxtops are located near the office door.  These items help us provide equipment and materials for our school!

District 142 Wellness Policy

Public Act 94-994: Sex Offender Registration

Public Act 94-994: Sex Offender Registration requires us to notify parents of children attending Foster School that information about sex offenders is available to the public. Although the legislation does not go into effect until January 1, 2007, these requirements must be met during the 2006-2007 school year.
Parents can obtain information on registered sex offenders living within the school district at the Illinois State Police website at: www.isp.state.il.us
