Remember the 3 "C's" to staying healthy

Clean

Make sure you wash your hands often, especially after coughing or sneezing

Cover

When you cough or sneeze, cover your mouth and nose area.  The inside part of your arm at your elbow works great if you don't have anything else.

Contain

Although we love our dedicated students, if a student is sick, they should be staying home from school.  Any student who has a fever should stay home for 24 hours AFTER they are fever free without the use of medicine.

From the Principal

Dear Forest Ridge Elementary School District Families and Community Members,

As the proud Principal of Lee R. Foster School since the 2000-2001 school year, I welcome you to the Lee R. Foster School section of our District 142 website. By utilizing this site, we hope to widen communication lines between our school and all of the community stakeholders.  Teacher wikipages, monthly school calendars, monthly lunch menus, character education newsletters and the Home & School Connection are just a few important items contained in this site.  Take the time to click around this section of the district website.  I believe you will find the information to be valuable and informative.

As we start a new year, we continue to work toward excellence in education for all of the children at Foster.  Our students' success depends on constructive home-school relationships, quality teaching and instruction, well informed families and positive attitudes.  I look forward to the coming year with excitement, and am eager to start another successful school year.

During your child's stay at Foster, if you have any questions or concerns, please do not hesitate to contact me. I can be reached at cberinger@d142.org or at (708) 687-4763.

Sincerely,
Curt Beringer
