HILLE ALUM SHARES CAREER EXPERIENCE

Have you ever wondered what it would be like to
meet and talk to someone who works in your dream job?

One lucky JHMS student (above, left) had this opportunity recently when Officer Dave Wahlberg (above, right) visited our school.  Wahlberg, a graduate of Jack Hille Middle
School, came back to talk with students enrolled in 21
st Century Careers and shared information about his career experiences as a Correctional Facilities Officer.

The class, taught by Mrs. Theresa Udziela, focuses on career exploration and skills students will need in the future.  “We are educating and preparing students for jobs that haven’t even been developed yet due to the ongoing advancements in technology.”

21st Century Careers involves more than just technology.  Throughout the course, JHMS students work on developing collaboration and teamwork, creativity and imagination, critical thinking and problem solving skills.
