JACK HILLE

MIDDLE SCHOOL

Hello Parents/Guardians...

Welcome to Jack Hille Middle School!  We serve approximately 560 students in grades 6-8.  We are a school community that is proud to call ourselves the Huskies.  We take honor serving our students and community through hard work and dedication to academics, service, and overall social-emotional learning.

Our D142 theme for the 2017-18 school year is "Cresting," like the wave that rises before it makes a big splash.  This year we are very excited to be launching a 1:1 Technology Program in which every student at Hille will receive his/her own iPad. Further, we have added a 6th Grade S.T.E.A.M. (Science, Technology, Engineering, Art, Math) class and a hands-on Makerspace component to the existing Applied Tech class at Hille Middle School.

Jack Hille’s highly qualified staff is committed to welcoming, educating, and supporting every student who walks through our doors.  The middle school years are filled with both exciting and challenging times.  Undoubtedly, your child will grow and change throughout the year.  It is our partnership with you that will help your child manage these ups and downs and grow into a well-educated and well-rounded individual.

To foster our partnership with home and stay connected to your child’s learning, we encourage parents to use the PowerSchool Parent Portal which provides online access for parents to view your child's attendance, grades, assignments, and to email your child's teachers.  (If you do not have a user name and/or password, please contact the JHMS Main Office).  We encourage you to reach out to teachers directly with any questions or concerns that may come up during the school year.

Jack Hille Middle School is a positive and supportive learning environment.  We are here for all of our students and will actively foster their growth academically and social-emotionally.  If there is anything the administrative team can do to better support you or your child, please don’t hesitate to contact us.

Sincerely,

Mr. Orth
